Youth and Schools
The persistence of prejudice and violence within schools negatively impacts student mental health, esteem, and academic performance. NCBI has developed a youth leadership development program and comprehensive course curriculum to build self-esteem, reduce prejudice, prevent bullying and violence, and resolve conflict.
NCBI implements age-appropriate violence prevention programs for youth grades K-12 and trains Montana educators in effective prejudice and violence intervention practices. NCBI builds our successful youth development activities into an integrated district-wide program in Missoula, reaching an increased number of youth over the course of their K-12 education and creating schools and communities - creating safer, more inclusive school environments where all students can learn and thrive.
